Elliott, PhD.
Paul Elliott, PhD. Dr. Elliott is also the President of Exemplary Performance, LLC [EP] based in Annapolis, Maryland. Dr. Elliott assists organizations in performance analysis, instructional design, product and process launch support, design of advanced training systems, and the design and implementation of integrated performance interventions. Prior to starting EP, Dr. Elliott was a Fellow with Saba Software of Redwood Shores, CA. There he provided thought leadership in both the services and product strategy of the company. From 1995 through 2001, Dr. Elliott was President of Human Performance Technologies, LLC, a leading provider of methodologies and training for performance consultants. HPT was formed upon the retirement of Dr. Joe Harless, a founder of the field of human performance, and was the exclusive source for the methodologies and training he had developed. From 1988 through 1995, Dr. Elliott was Vice President of RWD Technologies. He consulted on approaches to improve human performance across diverse industries, which included telecommunications, financial services, automotive manufacturing, chemical and petroleum processing, advertising, and consumer products. Dr. Elliott served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Training and Development (1993 - 1995) and was recognized as External Technical Trainer of the Year by that organization (1994). In 1996, Dr. Elliott served as Executive-in-Residence for ASTD where his focus was on the paradigm shift from training to performance and its implications for that professional organization. Dr. Elliott received his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Illinois (1975). His M.S. is in Instructional Technology from Syracuse University (1972) and his B.A. is from Rutgers University (1970). Recent publications include the chapter on ‘Assessment’ in Moving From Training to Performance, edited by Dana Gaines Robinson & James C. Robinson (ASTD & Berrett Koehler, May 1998) and ‘Job Aids’ in the Handbook of Human Performance Technology, edited by Harold Stolovitch and Erica Keeps (ISPI & Jossey-Bass, March 1999).
Mason Holloway Spanning the disciplines of performance, learning and development, Mr. Holloway’s consulting work has included: performance-based information taxonomies, performer-centric call center interface design, the development of a contextual learning engine, extensive front-end analysis, online content development and delivery, and performance-based curriculum development. Most recently, working with partner Dennis Mankin, Mr. Holloway, managing partner with Platinum Performance Group, led the design and development team in the creation of Performance DNA™, the most comprehensive and effective toolset for analyzing human performance. Performance DNA has been co-copyrighted by Platinum Performance Group and ASTD and is the only methodology taught in the prestigious HPI certificate program.
Dennis Mankin, CPT He graduated with honors from Western Michigan University with majors in Behavioral Psychology and Interpersonal Communications, including graduate studies in psychology and facilitating the transfer of Human Performance Technology (HPT) processes to others. Mr. Mankin has an extensive professional background, including 25 years in senior management and consultative positions working in business consulting, executive coaching, sales and HPT. He is an experienced performance technologist, project manager and facilitator and educator of HPT processes. His consulting career includes working with training and consulting firms such as Capital Management Consulting, Sigma International, Acclivus Corporation, Human Performance Technologies, now a Saba company, and currently as a Managing Partner in Platinum Performance Group. Mr. Mankin has been a successful sales professional, the president of a top producing training/consulting organization headquartered in Washington DC, and a well-respected business consultant and coach in the field of HPT and organizational development. Most recently, Mr. Mankin was co-author and a principal part of the design team for Performance DNA, the premier toolset for analyzing human performance. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Tulsa, Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and a guest lecturer to other colleges in business management and HPT and Mr. Mankin has been a licensed captain in the United States Coast Guard since 1986.
Karen McGraw, Ed.D. In addition to her Outcome System duties, Dr. McGraw is the President of Cognitive Technologies Group, LLC, a high-performance services firm that uses cognitive principles and a consistent people focus to help organizations improve individual, organizational, and project performance. She also has served as the Director of Strategic Services for Saba, where she designed and delivered consulting offerings in competency and performance management system implementation, competency modeling, change management, and e-Learning system strategy, design, and implementation. Previously, she was the Chief Knowledge Engineer for RWD Technologies, assisting external clients with performance engineering, performance support system design, change management, and process redesign. Prior to joining RWD she managed R&D projects in intelligent computer instruction, knowledge engineering, user-centered design, performance support systems, and expert systems for Loral and Texas Instruments. She has also served as an Adjunct Research Associate for the University of Texas and as an Associate Professor for the University of Maryland. Dr. McGraw is nationally recognized in eLearning, knowledge acquisition and scenario-based requirements, and performance-based analysis and interface design. She has authored five texts, including User-Centered Requirements and Knowledge Acquisition: Principles and Guidelines. She has authored over 35 articles and is a frequent presenter at industry conferences such as ASTD TechKnowledge and the Conference Board, speaking on topics such as eLearning strategy, human capital development and optimization, change management for new technologies, and competency-based performance management. Dr. McGraw received her doctorate from Texas Tech University in educational psychology and curriculum & instruction, specializing in the cognitive and performance impact of technology. Post-graduate training includes organizational development, change management, performance engineering, knowledge engineering, software engineering and leadership. Dr. McGraw is a member of the International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI) and ASTD. |
